2019 Sauvignon Blanc
For the past four vintages, the Clark Family has crafted a Sauvignon Blanc from vines off of Galleron Road in Rutherford. The site sits in the former Napa Riverbed, creating a rocky and mineral-rich home for the vines. This unique terroir helps to create a style of wine that is more reminiscent of a Loire Valley Sancerre: crisp, clean, lean and with great acidity.
2019 was another perfect growing season with a long, warm summer. The fruit was picked in mid-August 2019 and cold-settled in stainless steel. From the tank, the wine was moved into neutral, French Oak barrels where the wine fermented for two weeks. The barrels were then racked and the wine was aged in neutral French Oak for seven months. This vintage has bright aromas of citrus, basil and melon and has a zingy, bright finish.
Due to popular demand, the Clark Family has increased production of the 2019 vintage by four more barrels.
